Born of a shared passion for gaming, Insomnia the Gaming Festival returns for a very special year of events, marking 25 years of entertaining the gaming community. For a quarter of a century, Insomnia has evolved with generations of gamers as new trends, platforms, and ways to interact with video games have risen in popularity.

Insomnia starts the next 25 years of its story with the triumphant return of the Valorant Women’s Cup, presented by EE and GIANTX. Competing for a piece of a huge £10,000 prize pool, the tournament will see up to multiple teams face off once again in a bid to be crowned the Valorant Women’s Cup champion. Promising to be an unmissable contest, The Valorant Women’s Cup will be joined by a mixed Valorant iSeries Open, a tournament open to all over 16 years of age. With teams of 5 players engaging in 5v5 competition, a prize pool of £5,000 must be won at the show.

Counter-Strike fans will be well catered for at i72 with the always-popular Counter-Strike 2 iSeries Open. A firm favourite with fans of the event, Counter-Strike has been part of Insomnia for 20 years, remaining as popular as it ever was and with no signs of slowing down! With a 5v5 format featuring teams of 5 players, the Counter-Strike 2 iSeries Open can be entered by anyone 16 years or over.

After a short hiatus of Blizzard’s hugely popular team hero shooter at Insomnia, Overwatch 2 joins the iSeries Open roster. Another beloved esport title with visitors, a hefty £3,000 is up for grabs in a traditional 5v5 format, and casual Overwatch 2 Cups will be open to visitors over the age of 12 and run daily in the Daily Tournament Zone.

Revs those engines and lock and load as the mayhem of Rocket League is back in fighting form at i72. The Rocket League iSeries Open is open to players aged 13 and over, as 3v3 teams battle it out, racing, shooting and doing all they can to win a share of the £2,000 prize pool available. As much fun to watch as it is to play, nothing matches the spectator thrills of Rocket League!

No iSeries event is complete without League of Legends dominating proceedings and commanding the attention of players and spectators alike. This year is no different as the League of Legends iSeries Open returns promising to be as popular as ever, with a £3,000 prize pool waiting to be won. Open to gamers 13 years and older, the tournament is once more open to team sizes of 5v5 as one of the world’s most popular esport titles promises another weekend of edge-of-your-seat action!
