If the game does not allow re-joining the admin will make a decision of whether to restart the game, continue with fewer players or award a win to one side. This depends on circumstances but in many cases it will be a restart of the match either in part or in full.

Players are expected to continue playing as if the game is live until a tournament official confirms there is a restart.

If a player drops and a listed substitute cannot be found then the match will continue as long as the minimum number of players remain on each team.

  • Players not registered to play as part of a team are forbidden to participate.

Any unauthorised use of a mercenary player will result in the match being forfeited by the offending team and potential disqualification at the tournament manager’s discretion.

  • Teams must declare and confirm results via the tournament platform immediately upon completion of the match.

If you are experiencing difficulty in doing this then you must report the scores to the tournament Admins immediately in person or via Discord.

Any pending results may be forced if officials have not been provided with the correct result.

  • At a live event, if two competing teams are within close proximity to each other (within 1 row) and either team has a clear view of the opposing teams monitors, it must be reported to the Tournament Manager before the match begins.

An Admin will explain the rules to both teams. Generally this requires the team that has visibility of the opposing teams monitors to not look up from their screens for the duration of the match.

Should a player be seen to look up from their screen towards the opposition during the match, they will be issued with a warning. This warning is for the whole team. If there is a second incident then the match will be forfeited.

  • Player1 Events reserves the right to broadcast every tournament match.

The recording of such broadcasts may not be refused by tournament participants.

Any other broadcasting of tournament matches is forbidden without the express written permission of a Player1 Events employee.

  • WHAT CONSTITUTES CHEATING

We expect all players to play within the spirit of fair play. We reserve the right to against written rules in order to maintain fair play in unforeseen circumstances.

Cheating is any attempt to gain an advantage through unfair play.

Modifying a game’s code, or “hacking” to gain an unfair advantage, including but not limited to:

    • Wall hacks

    • Map hacks / radar bots

    • Aim bots

    • Speed hacks

    • Automations designed to distract opponents with chat spam or similar

    • Installing additional software, outside of the game code to achieve similar advantages to the above.

    • Abusing in-game bugs that are not designed to be part of the gameplay design (like clipping through walls or objects) – note there is a big difference between discovering a bug, avoiding its use and reporting it to admins, and actively using the bug to gain an advantage.

    • Receiving communications/additional information about opponents gameplay from anyone outside of the participating players during a match.

    • “Ghosting” (viewing a live stream of the match you are participating in) or deliberately looking at the screen of an opponent player if in view.

    • Deliberate attempts at hindering opponents ability to participate in the game in any way.

    WHAT HAPPENS TO CHEATERS

If a player is caught and verified as cheating the player is immediately disqualified from the tournament and all prize money is forfeited.

If there is evidence that other members of the team were aware of the cheating player and participated without informing the tournament officials, the rest of the team will follow the same path as above.

Depending on the severity the player(s) may also be ejected from the event, without refund, and possibly prevented from attending future events. This is at the discretion of event management.

    REPORTING CHEATING

If you genuinely suspect another team has cheated then you should alert an Admin at the earliest possible time.

Proof of cheating will be required – accusations without any supporting evidence will be dismissed. We recommend screenshots or clips of gameplay as the most practical method of recording evidence (utilisation of programs like Shadowplay etc are recommended for all players).

Consistent complaints of cheating where no cheating is occurring will be treated as time wasting and may have penalties issued by tournament officials.

  • While we do understand that many players are passionate about playing each game, and there may be some small outbursts while in a tense match, we do have limits to the amount and type of shouting that can occur.

Unacceptably loud swearing, banging of tables, or constant disruption to other participants may result in the player in question receiving warnings and eventually removal from the match in progress by tournament officials.

If a sanctioned player continues the same behaviour in a future match, they can be removed from the tournament entirely.

  • Player1 Events has a zero-tolerance policy in regards to illegal drugs. Anyone found to be in possession of, or taking, illegal drugs will be removed from the event immediately.

In the case of prescription drugs such as Adderall, players must provide an official doctor’s note confirming prescription of the drug, or they will be disqualified and potentially banned from competing in future events, as per the cheating rules above.

  • If any rules are broken one or more of the following penalties will take place:

    • Verbal Warning

    • In-game or pre-game penalties

    • Game Forfeiture

    • Match Forfeiture

    • Disqualification from the tournament

    • Removal from a live event & potential future event ban

These penalties may not take place in the specific order above as different violations will invoke different punishments.

  • Eligibility for prizes is solely at the discretion of Player1 Events.

We reserve the right to refuse, change or remove prizes from anyone or the whole tournament at any time and without notice.

All tournament prize pools are subject to an absolute minimum of 8 teams participating in the tournament, with Player1 Events reserving the right to require even more teams for specific tournaments (specified at the point of sign up)

Prize money is dependant on participation and may not equal the total amount displayed on marketing materials or sign-up advertisements.

To ensure that you can obtain your prize money, make sure that your team has nominated a representative and their details are given to the game admin and tournament manager after the prize ceremony.

Player1 Events aim to make prize money payments within 1 month of the event finishing.

The team representative is responsible for supplying correct payment details so we are able to supply prize payments.

We will make reasonable attempts to contact winners representatives (via provided contact details) if the team representative fails to supply payment details at the event.

After 1 month of no contact with the team representative these prizes will be forfeit.

If you do which to contact us about this, you can email us at esports@player1events.com.

Most prize payments will be by direct bank transfer (BACS).

Some smaller payments (Under £100) are sometimes be paid in cash at the event itself, if this happens you will be required to sign a receipt to confirm your prize payment.

Player1 Events are not responsible for prize money after it has been allocated and paid to the representative.

Note: Any fees or taxes charged by Banks will be deducted from the final prize amount.

  • In some competitions part of the prize is free attendance of the next Insomnia event.

The team representative (as specified in the prize payment section above) will receive the code for the winners tickets and will be fully responsible for distributing these to the players involved, or as the team organisation sees fit.

Tickets are only to be used for the event they are assigned, and will not be transferred to other players or events in the future.

Player1 Events are not responsible for tickets after they have been allocated and passed to the representative.

  • Player1 Events reserves the right to alter, cancel and change tournaments where appropriate.

Opening sign-ups to a tournament does not guarantee that it will take place. Factors which may affect a tournament going ahead include whilst not being limited to:

    • Lack of interest from players

    • Server hardware issues

    • Network problems

    • Power problems
