TICKETING TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • By booking ticket(s) to one of our events, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

    You will receive a Booking Confirmation and an electronic ticket via email to the address registered with the ticket agent through whom you made the booking.

    Admission and Security

    • Admission is only permitted with a valid ticket.

    • The organisers and venue operator reserve the right to refuse admission in the interest of security, safety, or comfort of guests.

    • Certain tickets may require valid identification for entry. If so, this will be stated during the ticket purchase process and on the ticket.

    • Anyone found to be a convicted child sex offender, subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, or under a Sexual Risk Order, Risk of Sexual Harm Order, or Child Abduction Notice is strictly prohibited from purchasing tickets or attending our events.

    Ticket Validity and Use

    • All ticket types are non-transferable.

    • Tickets purchased from unauthorised third-party sources may not be genuine and may not guarantee entry.

    • All tickets (other than LAN tickets) are non-refundable, unless the event is cancelled. This includes additional tickets for day or evening entertainment.

    • In the event of cancellation, only the face value of the ticket will be refunded (excluding booking fees). Refunds must be obtained from the ticket agent.

    • You must present a ticket with a clear, scannable barcode for entry.

    • If a barcode is damaged, defaced, or otherwise cannot be scanned, entry may be denied.

    • Once a barcode has been scanned and exchanged for a wristband or entry stamp, it cannot be used again.

    Special Ticket Offers

    • Discount codes are subject to availability and can be withdrawn without notice.

    • We offer free carer/essential companion tickets and free tickets for children under 12.

    Ticket Security

    • Do not post images of your ticket barcode online or share them. The first scanned ticket will be granted entry; subsequent uses of the same barcode will be denied.

    • Treat your ticket like cash. The organisers accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or unauthorised use of a ticket or barcode.

    Wristbands

    • Wristbands that are removed, tampered with, lost, or missing are invalid and will not be replaced.

    • Those without valid wristbands will be removed from the event or required to purchase a new ticket.

    • All wristbands remain the property of Insomnia Gaming Limited until the final day of the event.

    Other Conditions

    • Customers arriving outside the advertised check-in times may be required to wait before entry, especially during busy periods.

    • Priority stage access included with Day, Family, or Weekend Priority tickets does not apply to evening entertainment.

    • The organisers and venue will not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage sustained at the event, including theft or damage to property or vehicles.

    • Cancellations – LAN tickets may be cancelled up to 60 days before the first live LAN day. After this time, LAN tickets are non-refundable.

    • Age Requirements:

      • Under 16 – Must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. A completed and signed parental consent form is required.

      • Ages 16–17 – A completed parental consent form must be submitted prior to event entry.

  • Camping Ticket Terms

    • What’s Included – Purchasing a camping ticket permits the ticket holder to use the designated camping space for the purposes of camping. The ticket does not include any camping equipment (e.g., tent, bedding, or other items).

    • Personal Belongings – Any belongings left in the camping area are at the owner’s own risk.

    • Age Restrictions – Only individuals aged 16 or over may purchase camping tickets and camp in the camping area. This applies even if accompanied by someone over 16.

      • You must present valid photo ID (in line with our age policy) to collect your camping lanyard.

    • Campsite Rules – Rules for the campsite are displayed at the entrance and must be obeyed at all times.

    • Access Restriction – No one under the age of 16 will be permitted into the camping area.

EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • LAN and Network Usage Rules

    • Copyright Compliance – Unauthorised downloading or sharing of copyright-protected material on event-provided networks is illegal and strictly prohibited.

    • Surge Protection Requirement – Every customer must bring a surge protection extension lead to connect to the event’s power sockets. This protects equipment from potential damage caused by power surges or losses. Insomnia Gaming accepts no responsibility for damage caused to equipment where a surge protector is not used.

    • Power Usage – You may only connect your PC/console and monitor(s) to the venue power supply. No other devices may be plugged in.

    • Network Stability – If your computer is found to be causing network problems, it will be disconnected for investigation. If the issue persists, you will be asked to remain offline for the duration of the event.

    • Security Software – We strongly advise all attendees to protect their systems with up-to-date security software and appropriate operating system settings before connecting to the network.

    • Under 16s – All children under the age of 16 remain the responsibility of their appointed adult at all times while at the event. LAN areas may contain age-restricted content at any time; it is the appointed adult’s responsibility to moderate the child’s viewing and exposure to adult themes.

    • LAN Code of Conduct – All LAN customers must follow the LAN Code of Conduct, available in the event FAQs.

    • No Guaranteed Meetings – We cannot guarantee that you will meet any specific influencers or VIPs at an event. This applies to both general admission and priority ticket holders.

    • Meet & Greet Availability – Some influencers or VIPs may not participate in Meet & Greet sessions during the event.

    • Attendance Schedules – Not all YouTubers or special guests will be present every day of the event. Please check our website for the latest attendance schedule before your visit.

    • Early Departures – Influencers may, on occasion, leave the event earlier than the advertised schedule due to circumstances beyond our control. Insomnia Gaming Limited will not be held responsible for such changes.

    • Queue Management – Meet & Greet queue capacity is limited and subject to time and availability. Queues will be managed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all customers, influencers, and VIPs.

    • Line-Up Changes – The special guest line-up, stage schedule, and all billed attractions are subject to change at any time without notice.

    • 18+ Event Content – Certain elements of our events (including, but not limited to, the Insomnia Pub Quiz) are for attendees aged 18 or over. You will be required to present valid photo ID to access these areas or activities.

    • Challenge 25 – All bars operate a Challenge 25 policy. If you appear under the age of 25, you will be required to provide valid photo ID to purchase age-restricted products. If you cannot provide acceptable ID, you will not be served.

    • Accepted Forms of ID:

      • Photographic driving licence

      • Proof of age card with PASS hologram

      • Passport
        Photocopies, bank cards, and digital copies on phones will not be accepted.

    Under 16s – Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the event. The accompanying adult is fully responsible for the child during their time on site.

    • Older Children and Teenagers – While we do not require those aged 16–17 to be with their parent or guardian at all times, they must:

      • Know the location of their responsible adult

      • Have a means of contacting them or agreed meeting points

    • Parental/Guardian Responsibility – Failure to adequately supervise minors in your care, or failure to moderate their behaviour and activities, may result in eviction from the event.

  • 1. Searches and Entry

    • The event and venue operate a rigorous search process at all entrances.

    • You may be searched on entry, while onsite, or when leaving.

    • Dog units will be present throughout the event to support security procedures.

    • If you are found in possession of prohibited items, these will be confiscated and you will be refused entry or required to leave immediately.

    • At search points, ticket holders will have the opportunity to surrender prohibited items voluntarily. Confiscated items will not be returned.

    2. No Drugs Policy

    • Insomnia Gaming enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on illegal drugs.

    • Anyone found in possession of such substances, and who refuses the opportunity to destroy or dispose of them under supervision, will be refused entry or ejected immediately.

    3. Prohibited Items

    The following are prohibited and will be confiscated if found:

    • Knives (including locking knives)

    • Sound systems

    • Glass bottles (except makeup and perfume containers)

    • Fireworks, explosives, BBQs, smoke or gas canisters, air horns, flares

    • Weapons or items that could injure others (as determined at our sole discretion)

    • Laser devices

    • Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles

    • Sky lanterns

    • Open bottles of consumable liquids

    • Food preparation equipment

    The event organiser and venue operator reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone in possession of prohibited items.

    4. Behaviour Standards

    • Drunken, disorderly, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate ejection without refund.

    • Anti-social behaviour (including urination or defecation outside designated toilet facilities) will result in immediate ejection without refund.

    • The burning of plastics, bedding, tents, or furniture is strictly prohibited and may result in criminal charges.

    5. Animals

    • No animals are permitted, except registered Assistance Dogs.

    6. Event Effects and Accessibility

    • Some elements of our events may include pyrotechnics, lasers, smoke machines, loud music, strobe lighting, and other special effects.

    • If you have specific concerns or accessibility requirements, please contact us in advance.

    7. Alcohol

    • No alcohol may be brought onto the venue site.

    8. Waste and Recycling

    • Rubbish and unwanted items must be disposed of using the bins and recycling points provided.

    9. Lost Property

    • All lost items will be handed to venue security.

    10. Smoking

    • Rules on smoking and e-cigarette use are set by the venue. Please refer to the venue website or speak to onsite security.

    11. Venue-Specific Rules

    • Certain venues may have additional rules and restrictions. These form part of our terms and conditions and must be followed.

    • Any breach of venue-specific rules will be treated as a breach of these terms.

    • Contact us or the venue directly if you are unsure about any specific rules.

    12. Accessibility and Carer Support

    • For information on carers, accessibility, or other disability support, please refer to the venue website or contact us directly.

  • 1. Personal Photography and Filming

    • Filming and photography are permitted throughout public areas of the event for personal, non-commercial use on personal devices (e.g., mobile phones, tablets, compact cameras).

    • Such activity must be carried out respectfully, with consideration for fellow visitors, the event, and the venue.

    2. Professional or Commercial Photography

    • Only official media or event photographers, identifiable by a Press/Media Pass, are authorised to take professional or commercial photographs or video.

    • No other professional or commercial filming or photography is permitted without prior written consent from the event organisers.

    3. Courtesy and Consent

    • All attendees using cameras or filming equipment (including mobile devices) must be courteous to fellow attendees.

    • Permission should be obtained before taking close-up photographs or videos of individuals.

    • Do not take images or videos of children unless they are your own or are part of your group.

    • If it is brought to our attention that images or videos are being taken without permission or without an official Press/Media Pass, you will be required to delete the material. The photographer may also be removed from the event.

    4. Restrictions on Use

    • Photographs taken at the event may not be used in any sponsored programme, advertising, or promotional material without our specific written approval.

    • Tickets may not be used for marketing, media, or sales promotions (commercial or non-commercial) without prior written permission from the event organisers.

    5. Event Organiser Photography and Filming

    • By entering the event, you grant Insomnia Gaming permission to use your image in publicity, marketing, or promotional materials.

    • As a condition of sale, you consent to being filmed, photographed, and recorded for television, film, radio, webcasts, and other public broadcasts.

    • You also consent to safety and security recordings (including CCTV) being taken while onsite.

  • Unless you have specifically consented to us using it for other purposes, we will only process the personal data you provide when purchasing tickets for our events for the following purposes:

    • Operating and managing the event

    • Allowing you entry to the event

    • Our own internal purposes (including, but not limited to, assessing and determining improvements for future events)

    Such processing will be carried out in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and any successor legislation that applies in the UK.

    Except where the context requires otherwise, the terms of our Privacy Policy, as published on our website, will apply to all processing of your personal data.

  • 1. Trading and Commercial Activity

    • No trading or other commercial activity by any ticket holder is permitted at the event without the organiser’s prior written consent.

    • Insomnia Gaming accepts no responsibility for goods or services purchased from third-party traders.

    2. Refusal of Entry or Removal

    • We may refuse entry or remove you from the event if:

      • You fail to comply with these terms and conditions, or

      • After reasonable warning, your behaviour represents a danger to customers, staff, or equipment

    • In such cases, a full or pro-rata partial refund may be offered. This refund is the only compensation available in these circumstances.

    3. Damage to Property

    • Persons who cause damage to the venue, our property, or third-party property—whether deliberate or accidental—will be liable for the cost of repair or replacement.

    4. Liability

    • We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for:

      • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence (or that of our employees, agents, or subcontractors)

      • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

    5. Severability

    • If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, that part will be severed and the remaining terms will continue in full force and effect.

    6. Enforcement and Assignment

    • Failure by us to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.

    • You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms and conditions.

    • We reserve the right to transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company within our corporate group. We will publish notice of any such transfer on our website(s) and may, but are not required to, notify you by email.

    7. Termination of Access

    • We reserve the right to terminate your access to this site and any use of our online services at any time, with or without cause or notice.

    8. Changes to These Terms

    • We reserve the right to add to or amend these terms from time to time.

    • Amendments take effect when posted on the official event website and/or social media channels.

    • Please check the FAQs section regularly for updates, as they are binding on you.

    • If you purchase a ticket after any amendment, you agree to be bound by the updated version of the terms.

    9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    • These terms are governed by English law.

    • Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, unless you are resident in another part of the UK, in which case the law and courts of that part of the UK will apply.

  • 1. Eligibility

    • The competition is only open to valid Insomnia i74 LAN ticket holders aged 13 years or over.

    • Employees of Insomnia Gaming, their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation, running, or distribution of raffle tickets are not eligible to enter.

    2. Entry Requirements

    • There is no entry fee and no additional purchase necessary to enter for eligible participants.

    • By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

    • Route to entry:

      • Players must attend Insomnia i74 as a LAN ticket holder.

      • Players must take part in raffle-ticket-supported activities during the event.

      • Raffle tickets are issued as codes, which must be redeemed on the Insomnia Gaming Festival Discord.

    • No responsibility will be accepted for entries not received, regardless of cause.

    3. Competition Rules

    • Any attempt to defraud the raffle or gain an unfair advantage will result in:

      • All raffle tickets issued to that participant being void, and

      • Potential expulsion from the event.

    • All players must comply with the Insomnia Gaming Festival Community Guidelines and Code of Conduct.

    4. Changes and Cancellations

    • The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of:

      • A catastrophe,

      • War, civil or military disturbance,

      • An act of God,

      • A breach of applicable law or regulation, or

      • Any other event outside of the promoter’s reasonable control.

    • Any changes will be communicated to entrants as soon as possible via official event channels.

    5. Prizes

    • Prize details will be listed on the Raffle List in Discord.

    • All prizes are as stated—no cash or other alternatives will be offered.

    • Prizes are not transferable.

    • Prizes are subject to availability and may be substituted with an item of equivalent value without notice.

    6. Winner Selection and Notification

    • Winners will be chosen via random selector software.

    • Winners will be notified on Discord after the draw.

    • Prizes must be claimed during the event.

    • If a prize is not claimed during the event, the promoter reserves the right to:

      • Withdraw the prize, and

      • Select a replacement winner.

    • Prizes will only be sent after the event in special circumstances, at the promoter’s discretion.

    7. Final Decisions

    • The promoter’s decision on all competition matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

    8. Publicity and Data Protection

    • By entering, winners agree to the use of their name, image, and entry in any publicity material.

    • Any personal data will be processed solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

    9. Governing Law

    • The competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English law.

    • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

    10. No Affiliation with Social Platforms

    • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social network.

    • All information is provided to Insomnia Gaming and not to any third party.

ESPORTS TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • 1. Rule Hierarchy

    • Each tournament will have specific rules relating to that competition.

    • These tournament-specific rules may override the general rules contained in this document.

    • All players are expected to read and understand both:

      • The specific tournament rules, and

      • The Insomnia Gaming Festival Community Guidelines.

    2. Behavioural Standards

    We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. The following behaviour is strictly prohibited:

    1. Abusive Behaviour & Offensive Content

      • Verbal, written, or in-game abuse.

      • Inappropriate or offensive comments, jokes, or gestures.

    2. Sexual Harassment

      • Unwanted sexual advances, comments, or contact.

      • Any form of exploitation or sexual misconduct.

    3. Bullying & Cyberbullying

      • Persistent hostile or intimidating behaviour, online or in person.

    4. Harassment & Stalking

      • Ignoring requests to cease contact.

      • Following or monitoring someone in a way that breaks personal boundaries.

    5. Doxxing & Privacy Violations

      • Sharing personal information without consent.

      • Releasing private information with the intent to cause harm.

    6. False or Manipulated Content

      • Posting doctored, out-of-context, or false/misleading content with the intent to damage a person or organisation.

    7. Discrimination

      • Any form of discrimination or prejudice based on:

        • Race or ethnicity

        • Gender identity or expression

        • Age

        • Sexual orientation

        • Disability

        • Religious or political beliefs

    8. Incitement

      • Encouraging, instructing, or pressuring others to engage in any of the prohibited behaviours above.

    3. Enforcement

    • Breaches of these rules may result in:

      • Warnings,

      • Removal from the tournament,

      • Ejection from the event, and/or

      • Reporting to relevant authorities where applicable.

    • Decisions made by the tournament organisers are final.

    • Legal Age Restrictions

      • Any game with a legal age rating that restricts its supply by law will not be provided by Player1 Events to individuals under the specified age.

      • Proof of age may be required before participation is permitted.

    • Player-Owned Games

      • Insomnia Gaming accepts no responsibility for the content of any player-owned games brought into the venue for use in tournaments.

    • Parental Consent

      • Certain tournaments require a signed parental consent form for participation.

      • Failure to provide a completed consent form will result in removal from the tournament without prior notice.

    • Cash Prize Tournaments

      • Larger cash prize tournaments have a minimum age requirement of 16 years, regardless of the PEGI rating of the game.

      • Tournament-specific information will confirm any additional eligibility requirements.

    • LAN Attendance for Under-18s

      • All players under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form to attend the LAN.

    1. Tournament Officials

      • Each tournament will be overseen by a Tournament Manager, who may be supported by one or more Assistants.

      • Collectively, these individuals are referred to as “Tournament Officials”.

    2. Authority of Tournament Managers

      • Tournament Managers have full authority over their respective tournaments.

      • In all tournament-related rulings, the Tournament Manager’s decision is final and binding.

    3. Expected Behaviour Towards Officials

      • Players must engage with Tournament Officials in a courteous, respectful, and cooperative manner at all times.

      • Abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour towards any member of the tournament administration team will not be tolerated.

      • Breaching this rule may result in:

        • Ejection from the tournament and/or event without refund

        • Forfeiture of any prize money

    • Sign-Up Deadline

      • All team members must be fully signed up to the tournament by the specified deadline in order to guarantee a place.

      • Teams failing to meet the sign-up deadline are not guaranteed entry into the tournament.

    • Minimum Player Requirement

      • Each team must have the minimum number of players registered, as stated in the specific rules for that tournament, before being considered an official team.

    • Player Commitment

      • Individual players may only represent one team for the duration of the tournament.

      • Switching teams mid-tournament is not permitted.

    • Registration Issues

      • If a player experiences problems registering before the deadline, they must contact the Tournament Admin for that tournament via the method specified on the tournament platform.

    • Offensive or Inappropriate Names

      • Team or player names considered offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate will be subject to change at the request of the tournament team.

      • Names that fall into an edge-case category may still require a change at the discretion of tournament officials.

    • Name Consistency

      • When in the server before a match starts, all players must use the exact name they registered with on the tournament platform.

      • If the game supports team tags, all players on the same team must use matching tags to ensure clarity.

    • Misrepresentation

      • Any deliberate attempts to mislead participants or officials by changing names will be treated as an attempt to cheat, and may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the tournament.

    • Pre-Tournament Briefing

      • Each team must appoint a designated representative to attend the pre-tournament briefing.

      • This session will cover final rule clarifications and provide participants with a last opportunity to ask questions before the tournament begins.

    • Event Schedule & Player Availability

      • Tournaments may run at any time during the event.

      • All players must remain available for the full duration of the event.

      • Leaving before completion of all scheduled matches will be treated as a forfeit of any remaining games.

    • Prize Presentation

      • Prize winners are required to attend the official prize presentation ceremony (where applicable) as instructed by tournament officials.

      • Failure to attend may result in partial or full forfeiture of prize winnings.

    • Punctuality & Compliance

      • Players must arrive on time for all scheduled matches and follow tournament officials’ instructions at all times.

    • Grace Period

      • A 10-minute grace period is allowed from the scheduled match start time for teams to be present in their server/lobby.

      • If all but one player from a team is present at the end of the grace period, the match may begin.

    • Late Joining

      • Once a match has started, only players who were registered team members before match start may join mid-game.

    • Game Settings & Validation

      • Tournament hosts are responsible for ensuring all match settings are correct before the game begins.

      • If incorrect settings are not reported immediately at match start and the map/game is completed, the result may still be considered valid.

    • Pauses & Timeouts

      • Rules for pauses, timeouts, and other in-game interruptions are detailed in the specific tournament rulesets for each game.

    • Player Disconnection

      • If a player present at match start becomes disconnected for technical reasons, they may rejoin the game if the game allows it.

      • If the game does not permit rejoining, the Tournament Admin will decide whether to:

        • Restart the game (in full or in part),

        • Continue with fewer players, or

        • Award a win to one side.

    • Live Play Continuation

      • Players must continue playing as if the match is live until a tournament official confirms a restart.

    • Substitutes & Minimum Players

      • If a disconnected player cannot be replaced by a listed substitute, the match will proceed as long as the minimum required players remain on each team.

    • Registered Players Only

      • Only players officially registered as part of a team are permitted to participate in matches.

    • Use of Unauthorised Players

      • The use of any unauthorised or “mercenary” players is strictly prohibited.

      • Any team found using an unauthorised player will forfeit the match and may face disqualification at the Tournament Manager’s discretion.

    • Immediate Submission

      • Teams must declare and confirm match results via the official tournament platform immediately after the match ends.

    • Reporting Issues

      • If you are unable to submit results through the platform, you must report scores directly to the Tournament Admins immediately—either in person or via Discord.

    • Unreported Results

      • If results remain pending and no update is provided, tournament officials may enter the results on your behalf based on available information.

    1. Proximity Check

      • If two competing teams are seated within one row of each other and either has a clear view of the opposing team’s monitors, this must be reported to the Tournament Manager before the match begins.

    2. Pre-Match Briefing

      • An Admin will explain the visibility rules to both teams.

      • In most cases, the team with monitor visibility must keep their eyes on their own screens for the entire match.

    3. Warnings & Penalties

      • First Offense: A team-wide warning will be issued if any player is seen looking at the opposing team’s monitors.

      • Second Offense: The offending team will forfeit the match.

    • Official Broadcast Rights

      • Insomnia Gaming reserves the right to broadcast all tournament matches.

    • Recording Consent

      • Participation in a tournament constitutes consent to being recorded and broadcast. Players cannot refuse the recording of these broadcasts.

    • Third-Party Broadcasting

      • Any broadcasting, streaming, or recording of tournament matches by individuals or organisations other than Insomnia Gaming is strictly prohibited without express written permission from an authorised Insomnia Gaming employee.

  • Fair Play Commitment

    • All players are expected to play within the spirit of fair competition.

    • Tournament officials reserve the right to make rulings outside of the written rules where necessary to maintain fairness in unforeseen circumstances.

    2. Definition of Cheating

    Cheating is any attempt to gain an unfair advantage in gameplay. This includes, but is not limited to:

    2.1 Game Modifications & Hacks

    • Altering game code or “hacking” to gain an advantage, including:

      • Wall hacks

      • Map hacks / radar bots

      • Aim bots

      • Speed hacks

      • Automated scripts designed to disrupt opponents (e.g., chat spam)

    • Installing external software to achieve similar advantages.

    2.2 Exploiting Bugs

    • Using in-game bugs not intended as part of normal gameplay (e.g., clipping through walls or objects) to gain an advantage.

    • Note: Discovering and reporting a bug is acceptable; deliberately exploiting it is not.

    2.3 Unauthorised Information

    • Receiving gameplay information from non-participants during a match.

    • “Ghosting” — viewing a live stream of a match you are playing in.

    • Any deliberate action to hinder an opponent’s ability to participate in the match.

    3. Penalties for Cheating

    3.1 Verified Cheating

    • Immediate disqualification from the tournament.

    • Forfeiture of all prize money.

    • If teammates knew about the cheating and did not inform officials, the entire team will be disqualified under the same conditions.

    3.2 Additional Consequences

    • Depending on severity, offenders may be:

      • Ejected from the event without refund.

      • Banned from future events at the discretion of event management.

    4. Reporting Suspected Cheating

    4.1 How to Report

    • Alert a Tournament Admin as soon as possible if you suspect cheating.

    • Evidence is required — unsubstantiated accusations will be dismissed.

    • Acceptable evidence includes:

      • Screenshots

      • Gameplay clips (tools like ShadowPlay are recommended).

    4.2 Abuse of the Reporting System

    • Repeated false reports without evidence may be treated as time wasting and could lead to penalties from tournament officials.

  • Acceptable Passion vs. Disruption

    • We understand that competitive play can be intense and may result in occasional outbursts.

    • However, excessive or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

    2. Prohibited Conduct

    The following behaviours may result in warnings or sanctions:

    • Excessively loud swearing or abusive language.

    • Banging tables or other aggressive physical actions.

    • Constant disruptive noise that interferes with other participants’ ability to concentrate.

    3. Penalties

    • First offence: Verbal warning from tournament officials.

    • Repeated offence in the same match: Removal from the match in progress.

    • Continued offences in later matches: Removal from the entire tournament.

  • Zero-Tolerance on Illegal Drugs

    • Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited at all Insomnia Gaming events.

    • Any individual found in possession of or consuming illegal drugs will be immediately removed from the event site.

    2. Prescription Medication

    • Certain prescription medications, such as Adderall, require official proof of prescription.

    • Players must present an official doctor’s note confirming the prescription before participating in the tournament.

    • Failure to provide proof will result in:

      • Disqualification from the tournament.

      • Potential ban from future events, in line with our Cheating & Fair Play Policy.

    3. Enforcement

    • This policy is enforced without exception to maintain fair play, integrity, and the safety of all participants.

  • Breaking any tournament or event rules may result in one or more of the following penalties:

    1. Verbal Warning – A formal notice from tournament officials.

    2. In-Game or Pre-Game Penalties – Restrictions or adjustments applied before or during gameplay.

    3. Game Forfeiture – Loss of a single game within a match.

    4. Match Forfeiture – Loss of the full match.

    5. Disqualification – Removal from the tournament entirely.

    6. Event Removal – Ejection from the live event, with a potential ban from future events.

    Important Notes

    • Penalties do not need to be applied in the order listed above.

    • The severity of the penalty will depend on the nature and seriousness of the violation.

    • Repeat offences or extreme breaches may result in immediate disqualification or event removal without prior warnings.

  • Eligibility for Prizes

    • Discretion of Organiser – Prize eligibility is determined solely at the discretion of Insomnia Gaming. We reserve the right to refuse, alter, or withdraw prizes from any individual or the entire tournament at any time, without prior notice.

    • Minimum Participation Requirement – All tournament prize pools are subject to a minimum of 8 participating teams. Some tournaments may require more teams, which will be specified at the time of sign-up.

    • Prize Money Adjustments – Prize money is dependent on participation levels and may differ from amounts displayed in marketing materials or sign-up advertisements.

    Prize Payment Process

    1. Team Representative – Each winning team must nominate a representative and provide their details to the Game Admin and Tournament Manager immediately after the prize ceremony.

    2. Payment Timeframe – Insomnia Gaming aims to process prize money payments within 1 month of the event’s conclusion.

    3. Payment Method – Most payments are made by direct bank transfer (BACS). Smaller prizes (under £100) may be paid in cash at the event, with the recipient required to sign a receipt.

    4. Bank Fees/Taxes – Any bank fees or taxes will be deducted from the final prize amount.

    Unclaimed Prizes

    • We will make reasonable attempts to contact the team representative using the details provided at the event.

    • If no contact is made within 1 month, the prize will be forfeited.

    • Insomnia Gaming is not responsible for prize money after it has been allocated and paid to the nominated representative.

    • Free Event Attendance – In certain competitions, part of the prize may include free attendance at the next Insomnia event.

    • Ticket Distribution – The team representative (as outlined in the Prize Payment section) will receive the winner’s ticket code(s) and is solely responsible for distributing these to the players involved, or as determined by the team or organisation.

    • Usage Restrictions – Prize tickets are valid only for the specific event to which they are assigned. They cannot be transferred to other players or applied to future events.

    • Responsibility DisclaimerInsomnia Gaming accepts no responsibility for prize tickets once they have been allocated to and received by the team representative.

    • Right to Alter or CancelInsomnia Gaming reserves the right to alter, reschedule, or cancel tournaments at its discretion.

    • No Guarantee of Play – Opening sign-ups for a tournament does not guarantee that it will take place.

    • Possible Reasons for Cancellation or Change – Circumstances that may affect a tournament proceeding include, but are not limited to:

      • Insufficient player interest or participation.

      • Server or hardware failures.

      • Network or connectivity issues.

      • Power outages.

      • Master server outages.

      • Publisher licence restrictions or withdrawals.

      • Venue-related problems.

      • Other unforeseen circumstances, including natural events or force majeure.

  • These clauses apply to matches played on machines supplied by Insomnia Gaming for tournament matches on the main stage or within any dedicated tournament area.

    1. Match Area Access

    • Definition – The match area is the space surrounding any competition machines (PC or console) used during tournament play.

    • Authorised Personnel Only – During matches, only the following may be present in the match area:

      • Participating players.

      • Approved Insomnia Gaming staff and contractors (including, but not limited to, Tournament Administrators and Broadcasters).

    • Team Managers – Unless otherwise specified in a specific tournament’s rules:

      • Team Managers may interact with players between games.

      • Team Managers may not be with players during active gameplay.

    2. Wireless Devices

    • All wireless devices must be fully powered off and stored out of sight in bags. This includes, but is not limited to:

      • Mobile phones.

      • MP3 players / iPods.

      • Tablets.

      • Laptops.

    3. Food and Drink

    • Drinks are permitted only in closed-lid bottles.

    • No food is permitted in the match area or on stage.

    • If the tournament has a drinks sponsor, you may be asked to:

      • Remove any non-sponsor drink labels.

      • Place drinks under the desk.

    4. Setup Requirements

    • Arrival Time – Teams must meet the admin team at the relevant stage at least 1 hour before the scheduled start time.

    • Preparedness – Teams should arrive fully prepared with all necessary peripherals, configurations, drivers, and other required items for the duration of the match or grand final.

    • Late Arrival – Teams arriving late may lose their right to early setup.

    • Schedule Changes – Start times may be adjusted at the discretion of tournament officials. Teams will be notified of changes as soon as possible.

    • Technical Familiarity – Teams are encouraged to have the ability to quickly replicate their preferred settings on tournament machines, including graphics drivers and monitor configurations.

  • 1. Provided Equipment

    For matches played on any stage area, the event organiser will supply (including, but not limited to):

    • PC or Xbox and monitor.

    • Table and chair.

    Players may not reject provided equipment if it is in fully working order.

    2. Audio Equipment

    • Personal In-Ear Headphones – Players must bring their own in-ear headphones for use underneath the event’s noise-cancelling headphones.

    • Mandatory Use of Noise-Cancelling Headphones – Participants must use the noise-cancelling headphones provided by the event organiser. Refusal to use them is not permitted.

    • Sponsorship Requirements – Players with sponsorship obligations relating to their own audio equipment may wear it around their neck for decorative purposes only.

      • Such equipment must remain unplugged and unpowered at all times.

      • If the headset has a microphone, it must be either retracted or positioned away from the “ready” position.

    • Fit and Coverage – All headphones provided by the organiser must:

      • Fully cover the player’s ears.

      • Remain in place for the entire duration of the match.

    • Obstructions – No hats, scarves, or other clothing items may be worn between the headphones and the ears.

  • Players are expected to bring all additional equipment necessary for match participation. This may include, but is not limited to:

    • Keyboard.

    • Mouse and cord holder.

    • Mousemat.

    • Xbox gamepad.

  • Short breaks may only be taken with the express permission of the tournament officials. Any player who leaves the main stage area without prior consent may be issued with a warning or face additional disciplinary action.

COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, the negligence of our employees, agents, or subcontractors, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

    If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be removed, and the remainder will continue in full force and effect.

    Failure by us to enforce any right under these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms and Conditions.

    These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes arising in connection with them will be resolved exclusively by the courts of England and Wales, unless you are resident in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case the law and courts of that jurisdiction will apply.

    We reserve the right to terminate your access to our site and any use of our online services at any time, with or without cause or notice.

    We also reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amendments will take effect when posted on our official event website and social media channels. Please check the FAQs section regularly to ensure you have the most up-to-date information, as these amendments are binding on you. If you purchase a ticket after an amendment is made, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms and Conditions.

    We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions to another company within our corporate group. Notice of any such transfer will be published on our website(s) and may, at our discretion, also be sent to you via email.

    Competitions

    We may run competitions from time to time, either on our social media channels or for event ticket holders. Where we do so, these Terms and Conditions will apply in addition to any specific competition rules.

    To qualify for entry, you must follow the instructions provided in the competition post or notification.

    All entrants must be aged 18 or over, or have permission from a parent or guardian to enter.

    For “like and share” competitions, entrants must both ‘like’ the competition post and share it on their own profile or wall before the specified deadline. Only visible shares at the time of the competition close will be counted.

    Each person is entitled to only one entry. The competition closing date is final, and entries received after this date will not be counted.

    Winners will be chosen at random from eligible entries and will be contacted by an Insomnia Gaming staff member within 28 days of the competition closing date. Winners must claim their prize within 7 days of notification and provide their full name and any other details requested.

    Prizes are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable.

    Employees of Insomnia Gaming, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter or win.
